These Terms govern your access to and use of Mizan, a service that renders web interfaces in Arabic, flips document direction, and reports right-to-left layout defects. By creating an account, activating a licence key, or using the service in any form, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
Mizan is operated by Boudjemline Saddam Hocine, a sole trader established in Algeria ("Mizan", "we", "us").
Payments are handled by Paddle. Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries relating to billing and handles returns.
This means that when you purchase a subscription, your contract for the purchase is with Paddle, and Paddle is responsible for collecting and remitting any applicable sales tax, VAT, or GST. Your contract for the use of the software itself is with us, under these Terms.
Mizan accepts a URL or a set of URLs that you supply, loads each page in an automated browser, applies Arabic pseudo-localisation, reverses the document direction, and produces a report identifying layout failures such as misaligned elements, incorrectly mirrored icons, truncated labels, and region-inappropriate number and date formatting.
The service is provided as a hosted application accessible over the internet. We may add, modify, or remove detection rules and features as the product develops. Where a change materially reduces functionality you rely on, we will give reasonable notice by email.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and licence keys confidential, and for all activity that occurs under them. Licence keys are issued per subscription and may not be shared across organisations, resold, or published.
You must provide accurate registration information and keep it current. We may suspend an account where the information is materially false.
You may only submit URLs for scanning where you own the property, operate it, or have permission from the operator to run automated tests against it. Scanning is carried out from our infrastructure and generates real traffic to the target.

We may suspend or terminate access immediately where we reasonably believe this clause has been breached. Where the breach is capable of remedy and poses no immediate risk, we will notify you first and allow a reasonable period to correct it.
Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis through Paddle, at the interval shown at checkout. Prices are displayed at the point of purchase and may include or exclude tax depending on your location; Paddle determines and displays the final amount.
Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time through the account management link in your Paddle receipt email, or by contacting us. On cancellation, access continues until the end of the paid period, and the subscription is not renewed. We do not automatically refund the unused portion of a period on cancellation; refunds are governed by our Refund Policy.
We may change prices for future billing periods with at least thirty days' notice by email. Continued use after the change takes effect constitutes acceptance. If you do not accept a price change, you may cancel before it takes effect.
You retain all rights in the URLs you submit, the pages we scan on your instruction, and the reports generated for you. You grant us a limited licence to access, render, and process those pages solely to provide the service and to generate your reports.
We retain all rights in the Mizan software, its detection rules, its interface, and its documentation. These Terms grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service during your subscription. No other rights are granted.
We may use aggregated, de-identified statistics about service usage — for example, the frequency with which a class of defect is detected across all customers — to improve detection rules. Such statistics never identify you, your URLs, or the content of your pages.
We aim to keep the service available continuously, but we do not commit to a specific uptime level. The service may be unavailable during maintenance, during incidents affecting our hosting provider, or for reasons outside our reasonable control. We do not offer a service level agreement with credits unless separately agreed in writing.
The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties not expressly stated in these Terms, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
In particular, we do not warrant that the service will detect every right-to-left layout defect present in a page, that its findings will be free of false positives, or that its output is sufficient to satisfy any accessibility, regulatory, or contractual standard applicable to you. Mizan is a testing aid, not a compliance certification. You remain responsible for reviewing its findings and deciding what action to take.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, including liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the service, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, is limited to the total amount you paid for the service in the twelve months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profits, loss of revenue, loss of anticipated savings, loss of business opportunity, or loss or corruption of data, in each case however arising.
You will indemnify us against claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your use of the service in breach of clause 4, including any claim brought by the operator of a system you submitted for scanning without authorisation.
You may stop using the service and cancel your subscription at any time. We may terminate or suspend your access where you materially breach these Terms, where required by law, or where we discontinue the service entirely.
If we discontinue the service entirely, we will give at least sixty days' notice by email and refund the unused portion of any prepaid period on a pro rata basis.
On termination, your right to use the service ends. We will retain and delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
We may update these Terms as the service and applicable law develop. Where a change materially affects your rights, we will notify you by email at least thirty days before it takes effect. The date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria. The competent courts of Béjaïa, Algeria have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from them.
Where you contract as a consumer, this clause does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory consumer law in your country of residence, nor of your right to bring proceedings in the courts of that country. Disputes concerning payment, billing, or refunds are handled by Paddle as Merchant of Record and are subject to Paddle's own terms.
